As the USGA’s Allied Golf Association here in Idaho, the IGA is responsible for administering a number of USGA initiatives from Handicapping and Course Rating to USGA Qualifiers and the USA Team Idaho.

All local qualifiers are administered by the IGA, but players must apply via USGA Championship applications.

Handicapping and Course Rating
The IGA is the official organization contracted by the USGA to administer handicapping with the World Handicap System (WHS) here in the state of Idaho. The IGA also assumes the responsibility for course rating, sending our team of trained volunteers to measure and rate golf courses for integration into the WHS, ensuring that every Idaho golfer can play and compete on a level playing field.
