The Idaho Golf Association (IGA) is a 501 (C)(7) non-profit organization founded in 1969 with the goal of being an all-encompassing and governing body for amateur golf in Idaho. The mission of the IGA is to promote the best interest of amateur golf, by providing course rating and handicapping services to member clubs, conducting championships, providing playing opportunities for members, education, and protecting the spirit of the game. The IGA is comprised of approximately 17,000 members and approximately 75 member courses.
The IGA is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of fourteen men and women who serve three year terms. Operations are administered by five full-time employees and multiple USGA P.J. Boatwright Interns. Nineteen state championships and various USGA qualifiers are conducted each year in addition to over 30 events on the Idaho Junior Tour schedule.
