Handicapping and Course Rating

The IGA is the official organization contracted by the USGA to administer handicapping with the World Handicap System (WHS) here in the state of Idaho. The IGA also assumes the responsibility for course rating, sending our team of trained volunteers to measure and rate golf courses for integration into the WHS, ensuring that every Idaho golfer can play and compete on a level playing field.

As a participant in the U.S. National Development Program, the Idaho Junior Tour creates a pathway for the state’s top juniors to access world-class resources and guidance to level up their game while representing their home state. The first USA Idaho team will be announced fall of 2025.
