USGA P.J. Boatwright Q&A: Maddie Montoya

Maddie will be working with our Manager of Rules and Competition, Kyle Weeks, to bring IGA Members top-tier championship experience.

Where are you from?

I'm from Boise, Idaho

Why did you want to become a USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern?

I wanted to become a USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern to learn more about what goes into making golf tournaments special, get hands-on experience, and help out any way I can.

Where do you go to school, and what's your major?

I go to Montana State University and I'm studying Marketing.

What's your dream job?

My dream job would be doing anything in the sports industry!

What are you most looking forward to this summer?

I am looking forward to learning how each tournament runs behind the scenes and to being able to see how the variety of different tournaments differs from each other.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love to be outside in my free time, whether it's playing pickleball, going for a hike, or playing golf.

100 Men vs. One Gorilla — Who wins? Why? 100 men would win

I would say 100 Men. Although gorillas are strong and would put up a fight, I think the men would win. The men having a strong advantage in numbers would be the deciding factor.
